This picture is one of the series Unterwegs, which means “on the way” in German. The double exposure shows two different places: the border of the Rhine in Cologne, and an empty train station in Berlin. A man, the single being on the image, remains still, appreciatng the empty and quiet view, looking for nothing in particular. Both of them can be places of passage, as well as places of wait.
