A spotted sandpiper runs along the bank of a river in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This is one of the many different shorebirds that can be observed at various wetland areas throughout the city, particularly during spring and fall migration periods. As I quietly crouched low to the ground, it came fairly close to my lens a number of times, seemingly unbothered by my presence.
