Grand Rapids tamed its river as it runs through the downtown area. On its banks are parks and floral walkways. At the feet of its bridges people fish recreationally. Nevertheless, fish ladders allow coho salmon to return home to spawn. The fish ladders are a family attraction and this image shows why!
