It was a cold winter day when my wife and I decided to turn off the main highway at the Alum Creek Marina entrance. We were delighted when we spied some huge kites propelling individuals across the frozen ice! I walked to a good vantage point and waited for a bright orange kite to unfurl, ready to lift off in the strong breeze. At the opportune moment, I snapped this photo with my Nikon P900 camera.
