Vatican Statue

As I was walking through a courtyard in the Vatican, I came across many beautiful statues. This particular statue was one that I had studied in my Art History class early in the school year. This Hellenistic statue depicts Laocoon and his two sons being killed by giant snakes as punishment after he warned the Trojans against accepting the wooden horse from the Greeks.
