Venice Red

I was the last visitor that day to explore Doge's Palace in Venice. Fortunately, I discovered that I was able to extend my lens through the stone grill work of the Bridge of Sighs. It is from this viewpoint that prisoners would catch their last glimpse of Venice before being unmercifully sentenced to prison or worse. This picture exemplifies the graceful curves and delicate stonework along with the colorful architecture that are the iconic elements of this city of grand canals.
