This historic C-47 appeared at the 2019 Sun N Fun Air Show in Lakeland, Fl. Its fame comes from being the lead plane on the airborne invasion on D-Day. The plane was discovered in a boneyard waiting to be converted into a cargo airplane when the Commemorative Air Force sprang into action to claim and restore the aircraft in 2018. We now have the honor and pleasure of seeing it fly again while knowing the great history during WWII.
