For many small communities the VFW halls were/are places of fellowship, camaraderie, community, and entertainment. I found the shape and odd color of this structure interesting and, funny - a bit distasteful and distracting. Yet, the vintage neon signage and the hand-painted soldier on the side of the building were compelling.
