This image was taken at Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. Nabanita Das,29,(with her child) lost her house completely in the cyclone. Due to climate change, tropical cyclones are likely to increase in intensity, cause increased rainfall, and have larger storm surges. Rising sea levels could also boost storm surges from cyclones, making them even more deadly and destructive.
