Vicuna watching the tourists arrive on the Chilean-Bolivian border
The vicuna is the wild relative of the domesticated alpaca, and lives in the same high, cold parts of the Andes mountains. This photo was taken right at the Chilean-Bolivian border, where tourists cross from San Pedro de Atacama into the fantastic volcano fields and salt flats of the high Andes.
