The above photograph shows the quaint chapel of Saint George on the cliff edge of Sarantaris cape in Hersonissos, Crete. This small white chapel with the wonderful blue-coloured roof was built during the Venetian Rule, between 1205 and 1669. It is stone built and its west part is rock-hewn. The chapel has stunning views across Hersonissos and the mountains beyond.
