I find that for people that live on the other side of New York City, Manhattan can seem like a different world and distant although its just a train ride away. Even though it seems like a distant place the towering building and bright lights at night are quite beautiful. Also, from the perspective the city looks almost peaceful like the city is going to be rest which ironically isn't the case.
