View of Rockport Harbor and Motif Number 1, Cape Ann, Massachusetts

I live in California and visited my friend in Massachusetts. Because I had never been to Rockport, and wanted to shoot images around water, we took a drive there. The only adjustments to any of my photos in this location, was to enhance the colors a bit. Featured is Motif Number 1, a well known red fishing shack. Originally built in 1840, a blizzard in 1978 destroyed it. Public efforts helped restore the shack. I have read it was the most painted building in America. It remains a symbol of maritime life.
