The image is an elevated view of the Willets Point neighborhood in New York City. Willets point is a unique place of auto repair shops and auto junkyards -- but it is visually fascinating because of the wide array of colors from painted flags to signage. The neighborhood is being replaced with the city's efforts to rebuild the area into a residential and shopping center. I have photographed it over the years, this image depicts a not so typical day at Willets Point... a photo shoot with a bearded lady, while workers sit idle waiting for their next job.
