This photo was taken very early in the morning. There were extremely high temperatures that day, with the high being 109 degrees Fahrenheit. So we started hiking just after sunrise to avoid the heat. This is the view at the end of the Canyon Overlook Trail, with dark shadows from the early morning sun.
