'Vishakandan Theyyam' the god
'Vishakandan Theyyam' is a tribal god worshipped in the northern parts of Kerala, India. The ritualistic performance happens once every year at a small temple and people from nearby villages come to seek blessings from their god. 'Vishakandan' includes dance, mime and drum beats. The idea is to preserve the essentials of ancient tribal cultures which are attached with significance to the worship of heroes and the spirits of ancestors.
