Vojna Memorial, Czech Republic, Political Prison

On our tour of the Czech Republic, we visited the Vojna Memorial. German POW's originally built it as a prison. The communist government used it as a political re-education camp/prison. The inmates worked in the nearby uranium mines. It is now a memorial to the days when Czechoslovakia was under Soviet occupation. The man on the ladder is attempting to escape.
