Walking into stelae

The Holocaust-Mahnmal is a memorial to the Jewish victims of the holocaust, located in Berlin and designed by architect Peter Eisenman and engineer Buro Happold. The site is covered by 2711 concrete slabs or "stelae" arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field. You can walk trough the long aisles and submerge into the abstraction of this huge place full with human emotions and stories of the past.
