Walruses Reaching the Beach to Rest
After entering the bay, sleeping on the rocks at the foot of the cliff for weeks, walruses eventually reach the bottom where a sandy beach welcomes them for a month. In the meantime, the temperature dropped and snow appeared in the surroundings. There will be around 90,000 walrus on the beach and 30,000 more in the waters around it.
