We spent 9 days sailing the Svalbard archipelago in the High Arctic in Spring. The polar landscape was harsh and stoic. It took us all 9 days before we had this incredible encounter with a young, female bear. She was walking along the shore against the cold and powerful wind with a determination I found fascinating.
