Warrior's Gaze
Male Lions are defenders of their respective prides. This male had just finished feeding on a zebra kill and allowed another male to feed. His bloodied cut possibly from a little disagreement within his pride or perhaps a battle wound protecting his pride from another male takeover. Life in the Serengeti can be brutal even at the top of the food chain.
