Plitvice Lakes National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Croatia near its border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a simply amazing place, with sixteen lakes at different levels maintained by travertine dams, which also result in beautiful colors of the water. The lakes are all interconnected, often by waterfalls, such as this one.
