Waterlily Pickers

Farmers pick bunches of water lilies after harvesting them from the wetlands in Barishal, Bangladesh. Floating through 5,000 acres of canal, Farmers use their little boats to fetch water lilies and sell them at the market. They start working very early in the morning from 6 am in the canal and work till the afternoon. The national flower of Bangladesh, Water Lily blooms only at a specific time during Monsoon from July to November. Every flower is carefully hand-picked, collected inside the farmers' little wooden boat, tied in bundles, and sold to markets.
