Waves crashing on the Kauai coast

The north shore of Hawaii's most remote island Kauai, just outside of Hanalei Bay by Queen's Bath. The intense crashing of the waves, exploding sunset, even a fisherman made for a nice scene. It was an incredible feeling being so close to the immense power of the ocean contrasted with such a peaceful sunset on the horizon. This place I had found embodied Hawaii for me, a place that was forever changed by tourism. Having so many people come to these islands while still maintaining the raw, natural beauty here is what sustainable travel is all about to me. Seeing this Hawaiin man, fishing for his food helped drive this point home for me.
