January is a fun time to visit southern California: less crowds and milder weather. On this sunny winter day, I could've watched the giant waves crash against the shoreline all day. Here, in El Porto, near Manhattan Beach, a giant wave towers over a surfer going back out in the ocean for another ride. After capturing this image, I couldn't help but think about how SMALL humankind really is.
