Waves From The Past

White Sands National Park is home to some of the most active dune fields in the world. This constant motion creates a spectacular array of shapes and textures, and this image is just one the many that I was drawn to during my time in the park. In this image the leading edge, created by the wind, of the dune can be seen. Along this leading edge the wind has also created texture that resembles waves and, perhaps, a nod to the past.
