we are our skin in the end

"the deepest thing in man is skin" - paul valery. I started to think about the skin as a "border" that contains us and separate us from the other, at the same time it also defines us in a way, we are our skin in the end. It is the largest human organ, it can communicate spontaneously, and it allows humans to get in touch and create relations to go beyond this separation of bodies. It is a topic that can be developed in many senses, it really fascinates me and i need to keep on working on it. Here in this serie I focused on the involuntary reflex of goose bumps, the model is laying relaxed, giving herself a cuddle, eventought it is spring outside she has goose bumps. She is offering her body in a delicate and intimate way, with modesty and without shame. Acceptance of our body give us freedom and wellness.
