Weaving a towel
Even today, in Maramures, northern Romania, there are hundreds of women looming different traditional textiles: rugs, carpets, tablecloths, aprons, shirts or complicate towels, like the one from image (which are used to decorate plates or religious icons hanged on the walls). During big holidays, the people are proud to wear traditional clothes. And, in nearly every house is found a "traditional" room, where is kept the dowry, which contains mainly typical textiles.
