The image was shot whilst exploring the city of "Kifissia", Athens with my camera at night. I photographed a section of this dress in a fashion shop window display. While detailed and clearly a photographic depiction of the real world, the harsh contrasts and plastic texture of the mannequin call this subtly into question. This is amplified when inverting the photograph, as the these contrasts and textures are highlighted more harshly.
