I was volunteering as a photographer with El Centro Hispano, a local non-profit in central North Carolina serving the Latino community. This was during the height of the COVID pandemic when many immigrant communities were having difficulty getting food. This image was made at a rural trailer park with a large Latino population. We were delivering a truckload of donated food and these children were running down the hill to join in the excitement.
