What lurks below

The Maldives is famous for it's shark encounters so when i visited i was expecting to see a lot of sharks but little did i know to what extent. This particular evening we stopped the boat in a shallow sandy bay and before we had even dropped anchor we were surrounded by nurse sharks on all sides. It was only when it started getting dark and we turned the boat lights on that it became apparent as to why the sharks were so attracted to us. Sharks are always looking for an easy meal, which in this circumstance came in the form of small fish feeding on the plankton which are attracted to the boat lights. I spent hours in the water, watching in amazement as they gorged themselves on the tiny little fish, bumping off of one and other and quite often pushing me out of the way.
