I wanted to use this photo to express the feeling when we lose someone or something significant. The girl is slowly falling down to the ocean floor, yet her head is still fixed to the surface. This is exactly how I feel when I fall into despair. I am slowly immersed by depression yet I am unable to fully face the reality. Shooting in black and white increases the drama in story-telling.
