White Chalk Cliffs in Etretat, Normandy

Etretat, a North-Western coastal resort town in Normandy, is famous for its three white chalk cliffs. These natural arches, formed by the erosion, attracted the most famous impressionnist painters, such as Monet, in the nineteenth century. Behind the arch at Falaise Aval stands The Needle.
