White night thunderstorm

Cape Krestovy, Vyborg Bay (the eastern end of Gulf of Finland), Leningrad Region, Russia We got to Cape Krestovy after midnight. But the sky was so bright as if the sun has just fallen over the horizon line. ⠀ White nights are wonderful and beautiful. A few twilight hours between sunset and sunlight make me forget about sleeping. ⠀ In calm weather at the Gulf of Finland one can enjoy peaceful and serene quietness. Sitting on lukewarm stones, you can listen to the rustles of the nearby forest and slight sough of the coastal reed. Watch the mirror of the water surface in pale blue misty light. Look after the clouds flowing into infinity. ⠀ And suddenly, in the distance, somewhere over the opposite shores lightnings flashed. Chilly wind blew through rapidly over the shore. Dark mass of clouds were concentrating closer and denser. Gulls and swallows chirped. The silent June night came to life.
