White Pelicans Preening During Morning Fog At Fort DeSoto Park
White pelicans were preening during the early morning fog at Fort DeSoto County Park in Florida. The white pelicans are migratory and are here from late October to March timeframe. In winter, the marine layers roll in and out over Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, much like San Francisco's fog.
