Thank goodness for sunny days. We had only a day and a half to visit White Sands in New Mexico. The first day is when this photo was taken. The second day we were delayed with missile maneuvers and then rain. But, thank goodness for the first beautiful day...The clouds were amazing in the bright blue sky. It was intoxicating. I remember saying many times, "Look at those clouds." The white sands are stunningly beautiful with interesting green textured shrubs and things growing in them as well, but the white sands and the blue sky cannot be beat. I chose this photo because the sky and clouds are beautiful and because there are people in this shot which gives it some perspective on how immense the dunes are. And, I love the layers, dunes, mountains, shrubs, clouds...beautiful layers!
