17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
White Stallion and HIS Beauties

As we were driving through Theodore Roosevelt National Park, a white stallion appeared on a butte in front of us. He stopped and whinnied to other stallions below. He was signalling to them that these were his female followers and did so in no uncertain terms.
