I live in suburbia, but have created a bit of a wildlife oasis, especially in my back yard. Plenty of brushy cover, trees, and various native plants. White-tailed Deer are regular visitors, and several fawns that I know of have been born in the yard. This is one of those fawns, just a few days old and still very gangly and no yet adept at walking. It had just made a little trial run, after which it collapsed in this spot. Mother doe was right there to give it some TLC.
