Wild and wonderful Proboscis monkeys, a mother and her baby

The Proboscis Monkeys are found on the island of Borneo. Their seemly docile gestures and interesting facial expressions are very human-like and extremely captivating. I have been very fortunate to be able to travel to many places in the world, and Borneo is one the most amazing place I have been. The reason we chose Borneo’s Sabah and Sarawak states is because their rainforest and precious wildlife are rapidly disappearing. Their potential annihilation is being caused by the loss of habitat due to logging and burning as well as the conversion of forests to oil palm plantations. I hope that thru my traveling stories and pictures I can help others see incredible beauty and intricacies of other cultures as well as the magnitude of the problems our planet is facing.
