An orangutan mother with a half-eaten cempedak (Artocarpus integer) fruit in her mouth and carrying her infant poses briefly along a forest trail leading to Gomantong Cave in Malaysia's Sabah state on Borneo island. Moments later, she climbed into the canopy and disappeared into the protected rainforest.
