For the last three winters, I've been able to spend a great deal of time with this Canada lynx who has chosen a large private property and heavily forested area as her home range. She is a special and unique animal, and I'm very lucky that she is comfortable with my presence. They are typically very elusive. This photo gives an accurate idea of the amount of action you can expect to see from a Canada lynx for a large portion of the day! I spent quite a few hours sitting in the freezing cold, just watching her sleep or rest in one area.
