Wild Fisher In White Pine Tree
The early evening of August 20, 2020 when walking through a trail in the woods, I stopped in my tracks when I heard something chattering, as if agitated. I looked across a span of thistles to see this wild creature in a White Pine tree, 40 feet from where I was standing. I got one decent shot with my camera and didn't linger long as it appeared apprehensive of my presence. It also was very actively moving up and down the tree so that it was difficult to focus on him until it stopped for a brief second. At the time I did not know what kind of a creature it was as I had never seen a wild Fisher in my life until then. I am glad that I had my camera with me for this brief encounter as I have learned they are shy and elusive around humans.
