Wild flowers on Fireweed Trail on top of Vail Mountain

This is what untouched nature looks like. It's probably looked like this for thousands of years. Not to mention, this area used to be inhabited by many Indian tribes. I could picture them in the brush. I could almost feel their presence. At that moment, I noticed the brilliant patch of wild flowers with the mountains as the backdrop. It was so quiet. All I could hear was the light breeze. I felt like I was the only person out there. That's when I was inspired to take this shot.
