My husband and I recently made the leap to move from our home in the United States to the Netherlands -- an exciting decision point in our life and marriage, and one that held promise, adventure and opportunity. While we knew the move was right, on our first day living abroad the reality of our decision hit us: we had just uprooted our lives, in every way possible. As a result, we began moving through the spectrum of emotions that accompany change -- from excitement, to fear, to joy and even anger. But, what met us on our first walk in our new home was unexpected beauty -- a pack of wild horses. The experience was breathtaking. The horses were playful, curious and strong; and, exhibited grace and humility. It was a rare moment (as not 10 minutes later, they had completely passed through), and a reminder of why we made the decision to step out of our comfort zones: to experience all that life has to offer. I hope this image offers a glimpse of the spirit of these beautiful beings. And, serves as a reminder to live.
