I've met a lot of folks who have been to the ocean and don't understand how "ocean-like" Lake Erie can be! (Or perhaps how "Lake Erie-like" the ocean can be.) You can't see the other side, and storms, surf and sunsets are spectacular. This particular evening proved to my friend that Lake Erie is indeed a wonder of the world. The water was wild! The surf was roaring! And the setting sun lit up the lake. If J.M.W Turner had come inland, he would have painted this in a heart beat!
