In 2011 a devastating wildfire ravaged Bastrop State Park, burning hotter and fiercer than ever before. Large swathes were nothing more than smoldering remains. Today, vibrant young life is returning - hope and a future superimposed upon the towering charcoal sentinels of recent memory.
