This rugged wilderness can be found within Wilson’s Promontory, a national park located at the southernmost tip of the Australian continent. Only a 3-4 hr drive from Melbourne, it is one of the area’s better kept secrets. Within the park, there is a very good chance of seeing wild emus, wombats, and kangaroos.
