Win-win situation

I took this photograph of an Augochlora metallic bee feeding on a Hibiscus flower in the grounds of a hotel I stayed at while on holiday in Cuernavaca, Mexico, in 2024. Not only is this Augochlora bee stunningly beautiful, it's also an incredible pollinator: numerous balls of pollen stick to its hairy abdomen and hind legs. In return, the bee gets a free drink of the nutritious nectar the flower provides. I absolutely love capturing these lovely interactions in nature
