Wind of Change

Since the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, at the hands of a Minneapolis Police officer, protests have taken place across many cities in the U.S. Although there has been an incentive from the media to insist on the violence and looting during these unrests, most of the demonstrations have remained peaceful with people simply asking to be treated with respect, fairness and equality. On June 14, 2020, Black LGBTQ leaders organized the All Black Lives Matter march in Los Angeles to protest racial injustice, oppression and police brutality. An estimated 40,000 people gathered and marched.
