Wings of Grace on Wires of Power

This photograph captures a lattice-steel transmission tower with peacock, a common sight in the infrastructure used to deliver high-voltage electricity across long distances. The complex, star-shaped structure at the top and the cross-arms down the side support multiple sets of transmission lines (conductors) via long, segmented insulators (the dark cylindrical assemblies). These insulators prevent the high-voltage electricity from arcing to the grounded steel tower.
